Alex joined M&S just under 5 years ago at the beginning of their transformation, in the strategy team as one of Mel’s first employees, after previously having worked at McKinsey in their London office focused on the consumer and retail practice. He now heads up both the growth and personalisation functions at M&S, spanning analytics, product, experimentation, data science, engineering and marketing automation. His ambition is to personalise every one of the billions of interactions M&S has with customers every year, and develop deep customer relationship that grow lifetime value. Alex is also passionate about the mechanisms that create effective teams and mobilise change in large organisations looking to transform. When not on video calls, he loves training for obstacle course races like Spartan Race, listening to music, and dancing if the opportunity arises.
