Arun Chandra Mohan is the Chief Digital Officer at Majid Al Futtaim Retail and was appointed in August 2022 to lead the company’s digital business. He is responsible for the company’s eCommerce and in-store operations and is accountable for customer experience, profitability, innovation, and operational excellence.
Arun brings 19 years of experience in growing digital consumer businesses across Europe, India, Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East. Before joining Majid Al Futtaim Retail, he was the Chief Digital Officer at Bata Brands. In this role, he built and led Bata’s digital business across 35 countries, including developed and emerging markets, delivering high growth, profitability, and market share gains. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jabong, a start-up that he grew into a leading multi-brand fashion e-commerce platform in India. Walmart acquired Jabong in 2016.
Arun holds an MBA from INSEAD, a Master’s in International Business from the University of Applied Science in Germany, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College in India.
