Carla is currently the E-commerce Trading Director for FMCG and Fresh at Continente Online, part of MC Sonae, the leading Grocery Retailer in Portugal. 

Since joining MC Sonae in 2016, she has taken on various responsibilities, including leading E-commerce Strategy, Trading Non-Food, and Business Development.

Carla began her career in consulting at Accenture and transitioned into marketing roles in the Telecommunications and Healthcare sectors, working at companies like Johnson & Johnson and Merck, where she held local, regional, and global market responsibilities. 

Throughout her career, she gained valuable international experience, having lived, studied, and worked in multiple countries such as the USA (while pursuing her MBA), Argentina, Sweden, UK, and Germany.

Carla holds a degree in Economics from Faculdade de Economia do Porto and an MBA from Duke University - the Fuqua School of Business.
