Chris is the founder and CEO of Lyst, a premium fashion shopping app used by 160 million users a year to shop from a comprehensive assortment of 8 million items from 17,000 leading brands and retailers – including Burberry, Fendi, Gucci, Prada and Saint Laurent. Lyst operates an inventory-free model and uses its proprietary data engine to provide each customer with a highly personalised shopping experience. Thousands of brands and retailers partner with Lyst to benefit from billions of dollars in sales within a highly trusted brand environment. Launched in London in 2010, Lyst has raised over $160m from leading investors including Accel, Balderton, Draper Esprit, Fidelity International, and LVMH. Chris was also a board member of Depop, the Gen-Z pre-owned shopping app, from its Series B until the company's sale to Etsy Inc for $1.65bn in June 2021. Prior to founding Lyst, Chris was an investor at Benchmark Capital and Balderton Capital in London, focusing on early-stage consumer internet companies. He holds an MA in Physics and Philosophy from Cambridge University, where he was a DERA scholar.
