Matthew Gourdin

VP Commercial Europe


Matt Gourdin is Vice President Commercial for BARK. Best known for its dog toy subscription service in
the USA, Matt’s remit is to grow the brand across Europe with a retail first rather than a
D2C approach.
Matt has over 10 years of experience within the consumer goods industry which began in retail
management with Waitrose, part of the John Lewis Partnerhsip. He has subsequently held various
commercial buying positions before moving to the branded supplier side working for Bulldog Skincare
for Men, Edgewell Personal Care and most recently, Faith In Nature where he was on the executive
board as Commercial Director.
Earlier in his career, Matt served as a British Army officer with the Royal Regiment of Artillery, having
commissioned from the Royal Academy Sandhurst in 2007. He gradutated from the University of Leeds
with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in History.
