Michael joined Redcats (former parent company of La Redoute and part of the Kering 'PPR' Group) in 2007 at the grand old age of 27, and has been involved in the Management Buyout of La Redoute from Kering and the subsequent sale of the Company to its new majority shareholders The Galeries Lafayette Group. La Redoute is a market leading Brand and Platform selling French Lifestyle products – Fashion and Homes.  With a Vision to Bring Beauty to Family lives.  As La Redoute International CEO, Michael is responsible for leading the company Worldwide, outside of France.
Michael believes that, for any business to succeed and ultimately create value for its shareholders, the business needs to be focused not only on its customers but also on its employees. Michael believes that if you have engaged and passionate employees, they will make your customers happy which in turn will create shareholder value.
In 2012, Michael was awarded Finance Director of the Year at the Yorkshire Finance Director Awards.
Michael previously held the position of Redcats UK CEO for the brands La Redoute, Vertbaudet and Daxon and 5 other positions within Redcats UK (including CFO). Prior to Redcats/La Redoute Michael held senior positions with Condé Nast Publications and with Peter Blacks Footwear & Accessories.
