Director Digital Strategy & e-Commerce
Oli Baggaley has recently become the Global PMO Lead for Mechanization (warehouse automation for supply chain and eCommerce) at Ahold Delhaize, transitioning from the global Strategy team. Mechanization is one of Ahold Delhaize’s group focus areas (GFAs) – strategic projects focused on helping the company evolve their business model and accelerate investments in building scalable and repeatable operational capabilities.
Oli joined Ahold Delhaize as a Director of Digital Strategy and eCommerce in January 2021, supporting the business through the significant increase in digital and eCommerce adopting during the COVID-19 pandemic. He supported on a range of topics, such as enabling the integration of newly acquired Fresh Direct (New York based, online only grocer), assessing possible strategic responses to the growth of quick commerce / instant delivery, developing Ahold Delhaize’s European digital strategy, and creating multi-year plans for the GFAs.
Prior to Ahold Delhaize, Oli has worked across a range of strategic, commercial and operational roles, including at Ocado and Bain & Co. He holds a Masters in Leadership from University College London and a Masters in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. Oli lives in Amsterdam with his wife and 3 young boys.
