Yasmin Topia is a serial AI entrepreneur and CEO of Sociate AI Limited- creator of the world’s first AI personal shopper that sees and speaks, bringing an end to hours of click and scrolling for customers, and the need for data tracking and key word tags and labels for retailers. Yasmin started her career as a shop assistant at luxury retailers such as Selfridges, trained to provide the highest quality service and learning first hand that the best way to understand and serve your customers is by talking them- which is the inspiration for her start-up Sociate.

Yasmin is also a founding partner at Post Urban Ventures, a deep tech venture builder set up 2016, working with world leading AI researchers, scientists and academics, taking cutting edge AI research, that is ahead of academia and applying it to real world problems to create to commercial opportunities. Yasmin and her team created five venture backed AI startups - including Hazy, winner of the Microsoft £1m Prize and LGN, which is backed by Jaguar Landrover and Silicon Valley VCs.

Prior to deep tech venture building, Yasmin has an extensive background in sales and business development at PwC and Adecco- winning over £40m of new business deals acting as a bridge between clients and service delivery teams to break down inter-team siloes to identify new opportunities and design new solutions. It is this skill she brings to deep tech to ensure a commercial focus for new AI breakthroughs.
