Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Le Mini Macaron

Christina Kao co-founded the award-winning brand Le Mini Macaron in 2015 after growing tired of the time and money it took to get her nails done at the salon. It’s the first 15-minute, affordable, at-home gel manicure with a unique macaron LED lamp and all-in-one gel polish.

Applying her experience in marketing, advertising and business development, this viral TikTok/social brand is available in 30+ markets and in top retailers including Sephora France, ULTA, Nordstrom and Target. It continues to be a self-funded company with direct business operations covering the US, Europe and Asia. Christina oversees a culturally diverse, 40+ member team from 10 different countries with 11 languages spoken.

As a continued innovator in the nail space, in Fall 2024 Le Mini Macaron debuted their first air dry polish collection - Le Sweet. This 21-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and up to 85% plant-based polish collection is made with good-for-you ingredients (blueberry, avocado, spinach) and biotin to fortify nails.

Christina has been featured in top media outlets including Good Morning America, Forbes, Marie Claire, InStyle and Bustle. A Birmingham, Alabama native and Taiwanese-American, Christina grew up a minority in her Southern community, until moving to diverse NYC for college followed by Shanghai for 10 years. Prior to working at Le Mini Macaron, Christina worked at top global agencies in NYC and Shanghai, including Universal McCann and TBWA. She currently lives in Barcelona, where the brand is based.
