Fernando del Palacio serves as the Executive Director, Marketing & Omnichannel. In this role, he spearheads the company's omnichannel strategy, overseeing the Marketing, Business Development, and Services departments, as well as managing Physical Stores in the Northeast of Spain.
Leroy Merlin's omnichannel strategy is rooted in active customer listening, enabling the company to adapt to evolving consumer habits and offer a seamless shopping experience—anytime, anywhere, and through any channel. Under Fernando’s leadership, the company has significantly strengthened its digital presence. Key milestones include the launch of the Leroy Merlin Spain Marketplace, which now offers over one million products in just two years, and the relaunch of the Leroy Merlin APP, which has achieved remarkable success, accounting for 24% of digital sales within its first year.
Before joining Leroy Merlin, Fernando built a distinguished career in the digital and retail sectors. At Puig Group, Spain's leading luxury fashion and beauty manufacturer, he led the transformation of the company’s digital business. Earlier in his career, Fernando played a pivotal role as the first team member of Amazon's launch project in Spain, where he developed all product categories, driving combined sales to €1 billion. He ultimately served as Head of Pricing, Insights & Innovation for Amazon in Italy and Spain.
Fernando holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Degree in Management from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and an MBA in General Management from INSEAD Business School.
