Lena Jüngst

Co-Founder & Co-Inventor

air up

Lena Jüngst is a co-inventor and co-founder of air up®, the successful Munich-based company behind the world's first scent-based drinking system, which adds flavor to drinking water solely through scent.

Originally, the trained product designer developed the first prototype of air up® in 2016 during her joint studies with current co-founder and Chief R&D Officer Tim Jäger. Based on a life-centered design approach, they aimed to address societal issues (including, among others, diet-related obesity) and provide everyone with a healthier and more sustainable solution for daily drinking consumption.

The company air up® was founded in 2019. Since then, Lena has primarily been responsible for the development of the brand and product vision. In just five years, the Munich scale-up has grown into an internationally operating company with over 260 employees and has impressed over six million customers in 14 countries.
