Vasco has more than 15 years of academic and professional experience, in the private sector, in the management of technological products, and previously as a researcher at MIT Systems Engineering.

Vasco is a senior product manager as well as an experienced researcher and entrepreneur. Responsible for launching companies such as META (Business R&D Supplier) and LINNK (technology incubator), he worked at multinational companies such as Fuksas (Rome) and JDS (Copenhagen). He has a great knowledge of Smart Cities acquired in his PhD in fields such as IoT, electric mobility in the MIT Media Lab (Boston), and the IST (Lisbon).

Prior to Sensei, he oversaw META’s entire R&D+I strategy, being responsible for developing innovation by ensuring strategic project decision-making, research, and development of the company's cutting-edge products.

Vasco is also a board member of international associations like PAPS (Portuguese American Postgraduate Society), and co-founder of initiatives like Hack for Good Gulbenkian, Productized, and MIT Energy. Awarded an MIT Legatum Fellowship Grant and, in 2013, he won the award for best scientific paper from USAID and the World Bank. Distinguished as Entrepreneur XXI by BPI Caixa Bank in 2020.
